NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Authorities say the pilot of a small plane suffered no injuries during a rough landing in Nashua, New Hampshire, in which his landing gear failed.

Deputy Fire Chief George Walker says the Cessna 180 aircraft was found off a Nashua Airport runway in a grassy area at about 9:10 a.m. Tuesday. It was leaning on its left side. Walker said the pilot said the left side landing gear buckled down upon touch down.

Walker said a small fuel lake was quickly contained and power to the plane was shut down. The airport was closed until the aircraft was cleared to be removed to a hangar.

The pilot’s name wasn’t released.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
