ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities have identified the woman killed in a Georgia traffic crash as police chased the stolen car she rode in.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Doug Rainwater tells media outlets that 38-year-old Andrea Allison of Cumming was ejected from the vehicle in the head-on the collision.
Rainwater says in a news release that the driver of the stolen vehicle was 28-year-old Alston Spence of Cumming, who was arrested near the scene.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office says the car was stolen Saturday night.
The 10-mile chase ended in Gwinnett County. The stolen car hit a vehicle with four people inside. Those people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Online records Tuesday showed Spence was jailed in Gwinnett County, facing charges including vehicular homicide. There was no information on an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
