CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - One man has been arrested and another man is dead after a shooting in North Carolina’s largest city.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told local media outlets that officers were called around 8 p.m. Monday and found 63-year-old Harold Rudolph Jones dead at the scene.

Police said the death was initially reported as a suicide but investigators determined it was a homicide.

Twenty-two-year-old Daryl Roby has been charged with murder.

Detectives said the men are family members and were involved in a fight when the shooting occurred.

It was not known if Roby has an attorney.
