BEND, Ore. (AP) - A trails specialist with the Deschutes National Forest is suing the driver of a vehicle that hit him last year while he was riding a bicycle.
The Bend Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/2tpMWIN ) Chris Sabo is suing Nicholas Kessler for $1.3 million in damages.
The lawsuit claims Sabo was westbound on a road in the bike lane when Kessler, eastbound on the same road, failed to yield to Sabo while making a left turn.
Sabo sustained a concussion, several broken bones, internal injuries to his spleen and bowel and several ligament tears in the August 2016 crash.
The lawsuit claims Sabo continues to recover from the incident and seeks money for lost income and medical expenses.
Sabo and his attorney, Cynthia Newton, declined to comment.
Attempts to reach Kessler were unsuccessful.
