MANVILLE, N.J. (AP) - A freight train has struck and killed a woman in central New Jersey.

Officials say the impact happened in Manville around 3:13 p.m. Tuesday. Norfolk Southern Railway spokesman Jonathan Glass says a freight train was traveling about 50 mph when it struck the woman.

No other information was immediately available.
