KENNER, La. (AP) - Two men have been arrested after authorities say they hustled a woman out of $300 during a game of three-card monte.

Kenner police said in an arrest report that two men walked over to the car of an unidentified woman Saturday and asked if she wanted to see a magic trick.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports they began playing three-card monte and the woman won $20. Authorities say the men told her they would return any money she lost during the game.

Authorities say when the woman lost $300, she asked them to return the money, but the pair walked off. The woman followed them and contacted police.

Police arrested 31-year-olds Lorenzo Clavo and Brandon Quezerque and charged them with theft by cheating and swindling valued at $300 to $499.

It’s unclear if they have lawyers.
