BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Montana woman has admitted in court that she was drunk driving last September when she crashed her car into another vehicle, killing two teenagers and injuring one.
The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2txVQUt ) 24-year-old Thyanna Faith Littlesun pleaded guilty on Thursday in federal court to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and to one count of assault resulting in serious injury. There was no plea agreement.
Assistant U.S. Attorney John Sullivan says an investigation found that Littlesun shortly after the crash had a blood-alcohol concentration of .34 percent, or more than four times the legal limit of .08 percent.
Littlesun faces a maximum 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the assault charge and a maximum eight years and a $250,000 fine on the manslaughter charge.
