NYPD officer accidentally shoots himself in the leg

NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City police officer is being treated for a gunshot wound after he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/2syMbfc ) that the officer’s gun discharged at about 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Bronx.

The officer was taken to Lincoln Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police are investigating the incident.
