WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - A motorcyclist injured in a collision with a car in Warwick over the weekend remains in critical condition.

Police on Monday identified the motorcyclist injured in Saturday’s crash as 33-year-old Steve Watkins, of Warwick. He remains at Rhode Island Hospital.

Officers responded to the crash around 10 p.m. Saturday. Police say the driver of an SUV hit the victim and left the scene.

Police say the SUV was later found in a lot and the driver, identified as Brian Larkin, was taken into custody.

Larkin faces charges that include driving under the influence with serious bodily injury resulting. It couldn’t immediately be determined if Larkin has retained an attorney.
