NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - A second man has been charged in connection with the slaying of a Pennsylvania woman.

Lt. Eric Hermick investigators found the burned body of 26-year-old Melissa Barto Monday night in Neshannock Township.

The Butler woman was reported missing when she didn’t show up for her daughter’s kindergarten graduation on Thursday. Police over the weekend charged her boyfriend, 21-year-old Ishemer Ramsey, with shooting Barto, apparently because he believed she was cheating on him.

Police say Ramsey confessed to a friend, 23-year-old James Howard-George, who was charged Tuesday with helping Ramsey clean out the car in which Barto was shot and disposing of her body.

Both are jailed without attorneys. Ramsey is charged with criminal homicide, Howard-George with conspiracy to commit homicide, evidence tampering, abuse of a corpse and obstruction of justice.
