CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A carriage horse damaged a car and flung out his driver out during an outburst in South Carolina.

According to a Charleston police report, the collision occurred Monday afternoon near Charleston Carriage Works’ downtown location.

The driver told police he believed the horse, named Lucas, got excited about returning to the barn and began to gallop. As the horse galloped he crossed a curb and hit a parked car, which caused the driver to be thrown from the carriage. A wheel ran over the driver’s leg.

The report says no passengers were injured. The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Carriage company employees told police the same horse was involved in a similar incident recently in which the driver was also thrown from the carriage.
