NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - A man who tried to rob a Delaware fast-food restaurant at knifepoint fled emptyhanded after a clerk hid in a back room.
Delaware State Police say the crime occurred Monday evening at a Dunkin’ Donuts in New Castle. Authorities say a man brandishing a knife confronted a clerk and demanded money from the register.
Investigators say the clerk backed away and hid in a back room.
The man left the store and left in a minivan.
