LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The case of a 30-year-old Laramie man charged with killing a 75-year-old woman in March will proceed in District Court.
The Laramie Boomerang reports (bit.ly/2sAMl8S) Circuit Court Judge Robert Castor ruled Tuesday that there was probable cause to move forward with the second-degree murder charge against Trevor Lee Sanford.
Sanford is charged with killing Marilyn “Kay” Dlugosh. Court records say Sanford was related to Dlugosh through marriage and had been living with her since March 23. Her body was found on March 29.
During Sanford’s preliminary hearing, a detective testified that a shirt matching one that Sanford had previously worn was found in her house with blood on it. The detective said Sanford had been jailed before the killing and other inmates heard him threatening to kill Dlugosh for not taking his phone calls from jail.
