James Charles Lee was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the Thursday morning shooting of the male 17-year-old, whose identity was not released.

A police probable-cause statement says the two used a pickax and a torch to break into a gun safe but after an hour of work found that it empty.

Police say Lee told investigators that the 17-year-old had brought a gun with him and that Lee picked up it up and shot the 17-year-old as he sat on Lee’s mother bed.
