MESA, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting of two Arizona residents, one of which died from her wounds.

The Arizona Republic reports (https://bit.ly/2sngjL2 ) 22-year-old Artuo Perez is accused of shooting his former roommate and that man’s girlfriend.

Perez is facing charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the shootings that occurred Friday morning in a Mesa apartment.



The victims are 22-year-old Jesse Ibarra and 19-year-old Unique Aguilera.

Police pronounced Aguilera dead at the scene. Ibarra underwent multiple surgeries and was recovering as of Saturday morning.
