PERKASIE, Pa. (AP) - A man has been ordered to stand trial on vehicular homicide while driving under the influence and other charges in a crash that killed an off-duty sheriff’s deputy in Pennsylvania last month.
Twenty-seven-year-old Harry Burak of East Rockhill is charged in Bucks County in the May 16 crash that killed 48-year-old Keith Clymer.
Prosecutors said Burak’s driver’s license was suspended until at least 2023 because of prior DUI convictions. Officials allege that he had been drinking in a tavern and was turning into his driveway but collided with Clymer’s motorcycle, then tried to flee.
Defense attorney Steven Fairlie unsuccessfully challenged a resisting arrest count but waived other charges to county court, where Burak’s arraignment is scheduled July 21.
A prosecutor said there will be no plea negotiations in the case.
