LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities in West Virginia say a shooting killed two people and injured another.
Local news outlets report that Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan said in a press release that deputies responding to a residence Thursday found 25-year-old Erica Dawn Martin dead of multiple gunshot wounds and 61-year-old Joe Aaron Baker dead of a single gunshot wound. Another man, 32-year-old Robert Lee Flook, was treated for a gunshot wound and flown to a hospital.
Investigators are attempting to establish the sequence of events leading to the shooting. Sheriff’s Capt. David Hinkley said Thursday that police believe the suspected shooter killed himself after fatally shooting the woman.
West Virginia State Police and the Greenbrier Drug and Violent Crime Task Force also responded to the scene.
