HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police are investigating a fatal shooting at a city apartment building.
Police responded to the Farmington Avenue apartment block early Thursday afternoon for a report on an unresponsive male possibly suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputy Chief Brian Foley says responding officers found 37-year-old Shermane Rose in a top-floor unit of the three-story building.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police said it does not appear this shooting was random.
There was no word of any arrests.
