GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - A shooting at a North Carolina apartment complex has left one man dead and another wounded.

The Greensboro Police Department said officers were sent to an apartment complex around 12:25 p.m. Monday after a caller to 911 reported hearing gunshots.

Spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said when officers arrived, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound in a vehicle outside the complex. Police Capt. Nathaniel Davis told the News & Record of Greensboro that early information shows the suspect was on foot and carrying a large caliber gun.

Emergency personnel performed CPR on the victim, who was pronounced dead at Moses Cone Hospital.

The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

A second victim was transported by personal vehicle to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
