ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Albany say a 47-year-old man who was stabbed on a city street over the weekend has died from his injuries.

The Albany Police Department says officers responded around 1 a.m. Sunday to reports of a stabbing near Madison Avenue. When they arrived the officers found a man suffering from a stab wound in his torso.

He was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Police announced later Sunday that the man had died.

The victim’s name is being withheld while his family is notified.

No arrests have been reported. Police say their investigation is continuing.
