WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - Law enforcement authorities in northern Utah are investigating a prank call that prompted a SWAT team to respond to the home of an elderly woman.

West Valley City Police Lt. Robert Hamilton tells KSL-TV (https://bit.ly/2ue1wSB ) a man called 911 around midnight Monday and said he had killed his parents and was going to take his own life. Hamilton says the man then hung up, and authorities could not call back in.

After police traced the call, a SWAT team responded to a home where a woman in her mid-90s eventually answered the door.

Hamilton says the caller identified himself as Kevin. He says authorities located two family members of the woman named Kevin, but both were in different cities.

Hamilton says authorities are now trying to track down the caller.
