CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina woman has died nearly a week after she was shot during an argument with her boyfriend.

Charleston County deputy coroner Kimberly Rhoton told local media outlets that 33-year-old Canei Latasha Harrison died Monday afternoon at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital.

North Charleston police said Harrison was shot June 20 following an argument with her boyfriend.

Twenty-nine-year-old Lavar Terelle Walker of North Charleston has been charged with murder. Investigators say he shot Harrison in the head during the argument.

Walker was arrested June 22. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.
