CROWN POINT, Ind. (AP) - A judge has sentenced a Gary woman to 120 years in prison in the shooting deaths of two teenage brothers.

Lake County prosecutors say a judge on Thursday gave 35-year-old Jeri Woods two 60-year terms for two murder convictions. Jurors earlier this month found her guilty in the deaths of 18-year-old Arreon Lackey and 16-year-old Antonio Lackey of Gary. Authorities say the two were shot with a 10 mm handgun on June 26, 2015, in a remote area of Hobart.

Prosecutors at trial said Woods and six co-defendants kidnapped the brothers and dragged them along on a search across northwestern Indiana for a stolen gun. Woods‘ attorney argued her husband and co-defendant shot the teen brothers.

Prosecutors say Woods‘ attorney said she plans to appeal the sentence.
