DALLAS (AP) - A rainy weekend is expected across parts of Texas after storms already drenched streets, stranded motorists and caused some flooding.

Forecasters said Saturday that flash flooding could occur in some areas already saturated. Cities including Fort Worth, Dallas and Amarillo in the Panhandle saw motorists caught up in street flooding Friday.

The National Weather Service says some parts of the Dallas area got more than 5 inches of rain Friday while an area near the small town of Throckmorton in West Texas had 8 to 10 inches of rain.

Throckmorton Mayor Will Carroll said Saturday that waters that had flooded the streets in the town of about 860 people receded by Friday evening. He says two businesses and three houses flooded, including one where a woman had to be rescued.
