DARIEN, Ga. (AP) - The last time anyone heard from Ben McCullers, he called his fiancée to tell her his pickup truck had run out of gas.
The coastal Georgia man is still missing, 10 years after he made that phone call on June 2, 2007.
The Brunswick News reports (https://bit.ly/2qHSeNo ) exhaustive searches in McIntosh County turned up few clues as to what happened to the 31-year-old construction contractor. His truck was found locked. No money was taken from his bank account. There was no evidence of foul play.
Nell McCullers, the missing man’s mother, calls it “a bad dream that keeps reoccurring.”
Stacy Carson of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the case remains open. She says: “A person disappeared from the face of the earth and we don’t know what happened to him.”
