PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities in western Pennsylvania say a man has been charged in the stabbing death of a woman in Pittsburgh.
Officers were called to an address in the city’s Hill district shortly before 4 p.m. Friday for what police called a “violent domestic” dispute and found 34-year-old Makebia Morgan of Swissvale stabbed in the basement. She was pronounced dead about an hour later at UPMC Presbyterian.
Public safety spokeswoman said Sonya Toler said 34-year-old Quincy Fuqua was taken to a hospital for treatment of several cuts. He was later taken to police headquarters and charged with criminal homicide.
Court documents don’t list an attorney who could respond to the charges; one number listed in the defendant’s name rang unanswered Saturday and another was no longer in service.
