RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Authorities say eight people accused of participating in a heroin trafficking conspiracy are facing federal charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia says the arrests stemmed from a two-year investigation that involved local law enforcement agencies and federal drug enforcement officers. Officials say a grand jury returned indictments charging the eight with a variety of federal drug and firearm charges.
Prosecutors identified them as Dwayne Alonzo Proctor, Terrell Sylvester Johnson, and Jeffrey Diaz Dudley of Westmoreland County; Dominic Brown of Caroline County; Lawrence Buckner, Clifton Wayne Howdershelt and Edward Wayne Shupe of King George County and Kim Eileen Capps of Fairfax County.
