SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police say a nightclub shooting left one man dead and two others wounded in Springfield.

Lt. Richard LaBelle says the victim died Sunday morning. It is the city’s seventh homicide of the year.

Police say the victim and another man had suffered serious injuries when a shooter opened fire near the back door of the nightclub as people began to leave at closing time. A third man sustained a minor injury.

No suspect has been identified.

The shooting remains under investigation.
