ATLANTA (AP) - An escaped Atlanta inmate has been caught by authorities.

WAGA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2sABYyu ) Dennis Carlyle was caught Sunday after escaping from the Atlanta Transitional Center the day before. Officials say the facility is not secure and serves as a residence for inmates to transition back to the workplace and sobriety.

According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, Carlyle walked away from the facility and was last seen wearing civilian clothes. He was convicted of robbery for a June 2012 crime and was serving a 7-year sentence.

East Point police say Carlyle was found near an apartment complex after someone called following his sighting at a package store.
