PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man and a woman were found dead in the same Phoenix canal in nearby locations on the city’s west side several hours apart.
Police say a man was pulled from a canal near the Loop 101 freeway and McDowell Road on Sunday night. It’s unclear what caused his death.
Firefighters early Monday morning pulled the body of a pajama-clad woman out of the same canal near 99th Avenue, after a family heard her calling for help and a man saw her struggling in the water.
No identities were released.
