WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) - Construction is set to begin this summer for the first phase of a mixed-use development in the Vermont town of Williston.

Plans for the project due to get underway this summer call for 44 apartments, 20,000 square feet of retail space, 6,000 square feet of restaurant space, 10,000 square feet of office space for the project.

Williston Planning Director Ken Belliveau says the development, named Cottonwood Crossing, will be built in five phases and will likely take up to 10 years to complete.

The Burlington Free Press (https://bfpne.ws/2svnHnj) reports the entire project calls for 40,000 square feet of retail space, 14,000 square feet of restaurant space, 20,000 square feet of office space and about 200 apartments and or condominiums.
