MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) - State police have charged two men in connection with a fatal shooting at an outdoor party in northwestern Pennsylvania that was advertised on social media.

Online court records show 26-year-old Stephen Kozak, of Meadville, has been charged with criminal homicide for allegedly shooting 21-year-old Jimmy Johnson in a wooded area of Athens Township about 2:45 a.m. Sunday. Nineteen-year-old Brandon Frantz, also of Meadville, was also charged Tuesday with conspiracy to commit homicide, possessing a gun with an altered serial number and various charges of obstructing the police investigation.

Both men are in the Crawford County jail.

Kozak’s attorney didn’t immediately return messages seeking comment Tuesday. Online court records don’t list an attorney for Frantz.

The men face separate preliminary hearings later this month.

Police believe up to 200 people attended the party.
