SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Louisiana authorities say a man accused of using a neighbor’s credit card and checks to pay for $10,300 of his own bills and purchases has been arrested in Mississippi on a charge of disorderly conduct.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Christopher Turk of Keatchie (KEE-chy) also is being held on a Caddo Parish warrant for forgery and unauthorized use of an access card.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says in a news release that Turk was arrested Monday night in Ocean Springs. That’s about 325 miles (525 kilometers) southeast of Keatchie, which is south of Shreveport.

Chadwick didn’t know whether Turk has an attorney.

Investigators say Turk’s accused of using the cards and checks for rent, utilities, and car note; joining a gym; and buying many other things.
