FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) - A judge has ordered the trial of a Utah mother accused of killing her children to be put on hold indefinitely.

Reports say Sun Cha Warhola was found not competent to stand trial. Officials say several review hearings over the past years have ended with her found not competent.

The Layton mother is accused of strangling her 8-year-old son and his 7-year-old sister to death in 2010. Police say her husband found Warhola barracked in her son’s room with their bodies. According to reports, she has been at a state hospital receiving treatment since 2011.

State officials say they are in the process of civilly committing Warhola to the hospital.

Her attorney said Tuesday that the case would resume if Warhola is ever released from the hospital or found competent.
