THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - A new director has been named for the nonprofit corporation that helps fund endowments and scholarships for Nicholls State University.

The Daily Comet in Thibodaux (https://bit.ly/2s1HXQn ) reports that Jeremy Becker has been named the first full-time executive director of the Nicholls State University Foundation.

Becker is a Thibodaux native. He earned a bachelor of arts in 1995 and an MBA in 1997 from Nicholls.

The executive director’s primary role is to oversee fundraising activities for the foundation, which was formed in 1964.

Becker has nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including more than 12 years as director of development with the Catholic Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
