FREMONT, Ohio (AP) - A man’s arrest in the slaying of an Ohio woman who was found in her car trunk has prompted investigators to reopen an earlier case in which the same man reported a woman’s apparent suicide.

Forty-eight-year-old Daniel Myers, of Clyde, is jailed on charges including aggravated murder in Heather Bogle’s 2015 death. A message seeking comment was left for his attorney.

Sandusky County’s sheriff says he has reopened an investigation into the 2009 death of 37-year-old Leigh Ann Sluder. Sluder and Myers were dating each other and living in the same trailer park when she died. Myers reported finding Sluder’s body.

Sluder was found dead in her mobile home with a gunshot wound to her chest. A rifle was found with her.

Authorities ruled Sluder’s death a suicide.
