SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Surprise have released the name of woman found dead inside her home.

They announced Thursday that the body was that of 57-year-old Amal Bahjat.

Police have already said the death is being investigated as a homicide.

There’s no immediate word on any possible suspects in the case.

Police say official determination of cause and manner of death are pending findings from the Maricopa County medical examiner.

Officers responded early Tuesday to a call about an unresponsive person inside a house.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety helped Surprise police locate and collect evidence inside the home and the FBI provided Surprise police with Arabic linguists and translators.
