MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Minot woman will serve 30 days in jail for driving while high on meth with her 5-year-old daughter in the car.
The Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2sXdijE ) 26-year-old Sydney Pearcy pleaded guilty Wednesday in state court to a misdemeanor charge. In addition to the jail time, she must pay $1,125 in court costs and spend 1 ½ years on probation.
Authorities say Pearcy was stopped by a police officer March 7, and her daughter was unrestrained in the car’s back seat. Pearcy was arrested and taken to jail, where a corrections officer found a meth pipe hidden in her bra.
Pearcy pleaded guilty in city court earlier to driving under suspension and not having her daughter properly restrained. She was given a suspended jail sentence and fined $375.
