FREDONIA, Kan. (AP) - The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says a man is jailed after his father was found dead in a southeast Kansas home.

Police officers found 50-year-old Eddie Cohee dead Thursday at his home in Fredonia. Authorities believe he suffered from blunt force trauma but an autopsy is pending.

The KBI says Cohee’s son, 25-year-old Sean Cohee, of Fredonia, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Wilson County Jail facing a possible first-degree murder charge.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office says Friday no charges have been filed yet. The investigation is continuing.
