ANNISTON, Ala. (AP) - Police in Anniston are investigating the slayings of two men whose bodies were discovered within a 12-hour span.

Sgt. Shaun Firestone says officers responding to a report of shots fired early Thursday morning found the body of the first man in the passenger seat of a vehicle, dead from a gunshot wound. He was identified as 25-year-old Anthony Finch of Anniston.

Deputy Calhoun County Coroner Shane Adrian said the second man, 32-year-old Tysel Kejuan Safford, was found shot to death in a ditch on Thursday afternoon.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/2moVYC9 ) that Safford’s body was found about 350 yards away from where Finch was found dead.
