SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) - Investigators say a West Texas man faces a murder charge after remains of a woman believed to be his missing wife were found buried at a former speedway.

Tom Green County jail records show Robert Lamar Miller II was being held Friday on $501,000 bond.

A relative of Naomi Miller in 2015 reported her missing, possibly since 2005.

A criminal complaint says officers March 1 interviewed a woman who said she was present during a December 2005 dispute at the Miller home and she saw Robert Miller carrying what appeared to be his wife’s body.

He was arrested March 2.

Sheriff David Jones says searchers Wednesday found a body, at the former San Angelo Speedway, believed to be Naomi Miller. Autopsy results were pending.

No attorney was listed for Miller.
