WAYLAND, Mass. (AP) - Wayland police are investigating the theft of about $100,000 worth of jewelry and electronics from home in town.

The MetroWest Daily News (https://bit.ly/2mb0V0g ) reports that officers responded to the home Tuesday after a resident reported a break-in.

Chief Robert Irving said it appears as if the burglar or burglars were scared off by the return of the homeowner.

Investigators say the suspect used three wheeled suitcases that were in the home to haul away the stolen items.

There have been no arrests.

Police are asking for anyone who saw a suspicious person or suspicious vehicle in the area to contact them.
