VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a Vicksburg man who was shot earlier this week has died. Police are now investigating the case as a homicide.
Vicksburg police say 30-year-old Reginald Gaines was shot in the head Tuesday night. He died Wednesday at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/2n6Pviw ) that Gaines was sitting in the rear seat of a car as it traveled south on U.S. 61 South when he was shot.

Police say their preliminary investigation found that the occupants of the car Gaines was in had been in an argument with people in another vehicle at a convenience store on U.S. 61 South.
