LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - The top-seeded Zwolle basketball team overcame a 16-point deficit to defeat No. 2 Hathaway 37-34 in front of a hostile crowd in the Louisiana High School boys Class B finals.

The win marked the Hawks’ (33-7) 15th state championship.

Hathaway used a zone defense limiting Zwolle inside the 3-point line. After a 13-2 run to start the second quarter, the Hornets led 25-9 and seemed headed to their first state title.

Zwolle only allowed Hathaway to score nine more points for the remainder of the game.

Hawks senior Hilton Frazier capped the comeback with a 3-pointer midway through the fourth quarter that gave Zwolle a 33-32 lead it never relinquished.

Frazier earned Most Outstanding Player with 11 points and eight rebounds. Hathaway was led by Trey Blanchard with 10 points.
