WHITTIER, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been hospitalized after being shot by a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Whittier.
Authorities did not provide any details about what led up to the shooting.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Nishida says the man was taken to a hospital but his condition wasn’t immediately known. She says no deputies were injured.
Video from news helicopters showed a man on a stretcher being loaded into a medical helicopter at the scene.
