MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) - Police in Moncks Corner are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the yard of a home.
Police Chief Ric Ollic told local media that officers were called to the home around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday for a burglary in progress. Police say shots were fired during the break-in attempt.
Officers arriving at the home found the man’s body in the yard. Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury has not yet released the man’s name.
Police say a woman who was seen at the time left in a vehicle.
Ollic said detectives are interviewing the family in the home.
