EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut have publicly identified the elderly man struck and killed by a snowplow truck during this week’s nor’easter.

East Hartford police say 83-year-old Daniel Baerga was struck just after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the Willow Arms Apartments. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Baerga lived at the complex.

The snowplow was operated by a private contractor hired by complex management.
