TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a suspect who broke into the Islamic Center of Tucson, ripped up copies of the Quran and scattered the pieces around the building.

The center said in a post on its Facebook page that surveillance footage shows an unknown man breaking in and damaging the religious property early Monday. Nothing was stolen and no one was hurt.

Police Sgt. Kim Bay says the man is considered a suspect and police want to talk to him before determining his motivation.

Police are asking for the community’s help in locating the vandal. Anyone with information is asked to alert the authorities.
