CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The alleged gunman in a drug deal-turned murder in Carson City last year has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The Carson City District Attorney’s office says 22-year-old Reed Skenandore plead guilty to the two felony charges Tuesday in exchange for all other charges being dropped.

Skenandore and seven others were arrested in connection with the January 2016 fatal shooting of 18-year-old Grant Watkins at a park north of Carson City.

One of them, 19-year-old Jesus Garcia-Manriquez, also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Four other defendants are scheduled to go to trial March 27.

Skenandore’s sentencing is scheduled for May 9.
