YORK, Pa. (AP) - Fliers promoting a white supremacist group have been taken down at a central Pennsylvania college.

A spokeswoman for York College tells the York Daily Record (https://bit.ly/2m4N53L) numerous posters were removed Monday. Some students have removed others.

The posters promoting the group “Identity Evropa” include images of Greek thinkers and feature slogans such as “Our future belongs to us” and “Let’s become great again.”

Identity Evropa describes itself as a group of “awakened Europeans” who oppose those who “defame” their history and “rich cultural heritage.” The Southern Poverty Law Center lists it as an active white nationalist hate group.

The college’s student activities office must sign off on fliers before they can be posted on campus.

College President Pamela Gunter-Smith says the college doesn’t tolerate groups that promote hate.
